Today is the Feast of St. Jerome, Patron Saint of Librarians!

(picture from Cristo Vuelve)

St. Jerome was a Holy man who repented of his past frivolity, did penance in the desert, defended the Virginity of Mary and translated the Scriptures! Today I Consecrate this project to St. Jerome, that by his generous prayers may assist us in our needs and help us to preserve and share as much content as possible.

"O God, Who didst vouchsafe to provide for Thy Church blessed Jerome, Thy confessor, a great Doctor for the expounding of the Sacred Scriptures, grant, we beseech Thee, that through his merits we may be enabled, by Thine assistance, to practise what both by word and deed he hath taught us. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen" . Collect of the Mass of St Jerome.

  1. It's a good idea, to consecrate this project to St. Jerome. When today the past is being erased, it is more important than ever to keep it archived. At least some hard drives, etc., can last for quite a few years until the problem (of fake history, etc) can be resolved.
