In this post, we share the reasons why we suspect Trad Clerics do not have the supplied jurisdiction they claim to have:
A Response to Fr. Cekada on Jurisdiction
However, in order to understand better the situation, researching ecclesiology and canon law, together with the whole body of Catholic Doctrine, is important. Therefore, studying from the books may be necessary.
This blog is full of books and links about this topics. Feel free to peruse.
Specific books which are worth in the discussion are added here:
Fr. Van Noort's Christ's Church
Fr. Berry's The Church of Christ
Miazkiewicz on Supplied Jurisdiction
A New Commentary on Canon Law, Rev. Woywood
Salaverri's books on dogmatic theology
De Ecclesia Christi, by Timothy Zapalena
We will still preserve content from websites who believe trad bishops have jurisdiction, because good content is hard to write and we have limited time to just re-write it all.
We would like this post to have a thriving comment discussion on the topic. We are not versed in theology and would love to see this topic being seriously dicussed everywhere, and this is the perfect place to do so because we are surrounded by links to Catholic Theology Books.
All can comment, unless it is Theresa Benns - style "catacomb Catholics" because they believe there are no Bishops at all. We just believe Bishops with jurisdiction and Ordinary Bisops may be somewhere, even teaching and preaching and all that, and may try to seek for them in the future.
