Whether it be her Sorrows, her Presentation, her Immaculate Conception or Assumption, the life of Mary is full of consolation for the afflicted and a perfect example for those who want to be perfect and practice virtue.

Moral Theology, by McHugh and Callan.
Whenever I have a doubt about whether something is sinful or not, I look in this books for the answers. Words cannot describe how gratefull I am for this one!
Despite being a theological work, Moral Theology has a straigth-forward and clear-cut style that you will not find in years of novus ordo sermons. It is true that some parts are rather complicated and you should pray before reading them in order to understand them, however, the rest of the book is an excellent reference point for beginners.
Moral Theology includes loads of information on all the 10 Commandament, the 7 Sacraments, all the virtues and all the duties of men, including Priests, Lawyers, Judges, Parents and Students. This books is perfect for a time when Catholicism is eclipsed and many of us suffer from ignorance and confusion as to what are our obligations. Add it to your list of Theological Manuals to Study!
